Drones, Radar, Su-57: Russia’s Answer to US Pressure on India

by admin477351

Russia’s answer to US pressure on India is a volley of high-technology defense offers. As the US imposes tariffs over Russian oil, Ambassador Denis Alipov has unveiled a new cooperation package including drones, advanced radar, and the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter.

This futuristic offer is designed to reinforce a 60-year partnership that Alipov called the “backbone” of India’s military, accounting for 70% of its hardware.

The announcement followed claims by Donald Trump that India would halt its “beneficial” Russian oil imports. India’s MEA refuted this, citing “national interest.”

Alipov’s pitch emphasizes a “full technology-sharing” model, proven by JVs like the BrahMos missile and Su-30 MKI. The new offer for drones, anti-drone tech, and the Su-57 (to support India’s AMCA) showcases a partnership model that contrasts sharply with US penalties.
